MAILS OLOBS— For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per 9.8. Gothenburg, on Monday, the 20th inst., at 1 p.m. Per s.s. Alhambra, on Monday, the 20th inst, as under For India, China, Japan, Penang, Singapore, Ceylon, Aden, Mauritius, the British, French, and Austrian Post-offices at Alexandria, Malta, Gibraltar, Marsedles, and the Travelling P.O. from Marseilles to Lyons, at 11.30a.ru. D or Australian Colonies (except j Melbourne), at
12,30 p.m. For London via Southampton, via Marseilles, and via Brindisi, Victoria, and Southland, at
1 p.lll. For issue of money orders and posting of news papers and registered letters, at 10 am.
Late letters may be posted as under For Australian Colonies, except Melbourne, with a Into fee of 3d per letter, till 1 p.m. For London via Brindisi, with a late'fee of 9d
per letter till 1.30 p.m. For Melbourne, with a late fee of otl per
letter till 1.30 p.m. . N.B. —An alteration has been effected in the rates of postage via Brindisi, as follows :
LETTERS Not exceeding £oz, 9d Exceeding 4oz, and not exceeding loz, Is 6d .... And so on, 9d for every additional or fraction of
BOOK AND PATTERN PARCELS. Not exceeding I oz, 2d Exceeding 1 oz, and not exceeding 2 oz,
Exceeding 2 oz, and not exceeding 4 oz, 7d Exceeding 4 oz, and not exceeding 8 02, 13 2d . And so on, Is 2d for every additional Boz, or fraction of Boz. Newspapers under 4oz each, 4d For every additional 40z., 4d For Oamaru, per p.s. Wallace, on Tuesday, the 21st iust., at 8.45 a.m. For Southland, per s.s. Storm Bird, bn TuesWednesday, the 21st inst, at 1.30 p.m.
For registered letters, money orders, and news papers, one hour previous to the mail.
