PROVINCIAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS.
THE CITY. The official declaration took place to-day, at noon. There were not many persons present, in consequence of the rain; but nearly all the candidates were present and made speeches. The following is the corrected list of votes polled ;
Messrs Reynolds, Cargill, Turnbull, Bathgate, Barton, Cutten, and Duucau were declared duly elected. Mr Birch intimated his intention of having a thorough scrutiny, and has, lodged a protest which will be published to-morrow.
