A flood yesterday destroyed the Ngahauranga Bridge and the approaches to the Hutt Bridge. The coaches have been stopped in consequence. The Luna has sailed with fifty of the Armed Constabulary to strengthen the outposts at the Waikato. An influential requisition is being signed to-day for Mr Fitzherbort to allow himself to be proposed for the Superintendency.
