Sailed—Star of the South, for Napier. Mr Gilman Owen, a passenger by the Letitia, died on the passage. It is supposed that he poisoned himself accidentally. The tii/dnsif Jfurniny Herald contains an advertisement of a new line of steamers between Fiji an San Francisco. Blenheim, February 27, 10.50 a.m. The Rangitoto ran aground in Picton Harbor at noon yesterday. The Luna tried in vain to tug her off at spring high water. She lies broadside on to the town, and is not off yet. 12.40 p.m. The Rangitoto’s cargo is being removed. The damage to the vessel is slight. Invercargill, February 27. The Storm Bird sailed yesterday morning, at six o’clock, for Bligh Sound, taking a large supply of stores, etc.
