FOR the Public guidance, I beg substantially to contradict any statement that Solicitors are “ empowered by the Act” to transact business as Licensed Land Brokers. A Solicitor may do business under this Act the same as under any other Act, and on the same terms ; but except he takes out a license as a Broker, he does not take upon himself at all the obligations of the Broker, which form one of the leading beneficial features of the Act.
