CRICKET.
The match between the Albion and the Tokomaiiiro Clubs was played on the Dunedin ground on Saturday, and terminated in an easy victory for the town club. The Tokomairiro club sent their opponents to the wickets first, but were unable to dispose of them until the telegraph showed 80 runs; of which number Shepherd obtained 50, by some careful play, bub on the whole the large score was obtained off very loose bowling. Tokomairiro’s first innings terminated for 39 runs, M‘lntyre (the captain) being the only one who made double figures. In the second innings, the Albious made Go and Tokomairiro 39, the former thus winning by 77 runs. The fielding on both sides was very fair. Mr Hendley acted as umpire for the Albion, and Mr Duff for Tokomairiro. The following are the scores: — ALBION. Ist Innings. 2nd Innings.
