There was a large attendance,, and the following gentlemen were nominated : Mr James William Thomson, proposed by Mr D. Henderson, seconded bv Mr James Paterson. "Mr William Alfred Mosely, proposed by Mr Thomas Hudson, seconded by Mr John Algie. Mr James Macandrcw, proposed, by Mr J. H. Jenkinson, seconded by Mr James Sanderson. Mr George Richardson, proposed by Mr William Ferguson, seconded by Mr Peter Ay son. The show of hands was—Thomson, G ; Mosely, 3 ; Macandrew, 8 ; Richardson, 7. Long speeches were given.
