LECTURES IN THE GLEN BAPTIST CHAPEL.
To the Editor of the Evening Star. Sir—Will you be kind enough to permit me, through your journal, to correct a misunderstanding which has arisen respecting my lectures on “ Daniel’s Prophecies ’ in the above chapel. I have been informed that a considerable number were in waiting on Wednesday evening last. lam sorry for the disappointment; but owing to the condition of my throat, I never contemplated to proceed with the lecture in regular weekly succession ; and I was under the impression that 1 had, at the termination of the first, announced that proper notice by public advertisement would be given when tbe next would take place. I beg now to state that early in January I will (D. \ 7 .) deliver the second —the subject of which will be, “ The Seventy Weeks and intimation prior thereto will be given in the Evening Star. I am, &c., Jas. Gilmour.
