Tins Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor and W. Mason, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. Alex. Napier was fined ss, or 21 hours’ im« prisonment, OFFENCES AGAINST THE % YE-LAWS, if Christina Millar, for allowing cattle to wander on the Caversham road, was fined 20s and costs ; and John Oliver, for having an unregistered dog in his possession, was fined 40s and costs. Thomas Hudson, for building without having first obtained permission from the City Council, was fined 20s and costs ; and a charge of allowing a chimney to take fire, preferred against the same defendant, was dismissed with a caution. An error crept into our report of the Mayor’s Court yesterday In the case of the two children charged with house-break-ing, it was stated that the mother of the girl O’Donoghue was a convicted thief. It should have stated that it was the child’s father who has been convicted of theft.
