MAYOR'S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor,) DRUNKENNESS. George Wilby was fined ss, JUVENTLE HOUSEBREAKERS, Margaret O’Douoghue, 13 years old, and Fanny Fleury, 11 years, were charged with forcibly entering a house in Cumberland street, and stealing therefrom a frock coat and other articles, valued altogether at L 3 12s !)d, tho property of a Mrs Wood. It appeared from the evidence that these two young girls (the younger of the two beirg iu appearance two years younger than sl.e is) had by some extraordinary means forced the door—a very strong one—of Mrs Wood 's house daring her'absence, and in the coolett manner possible proceeded to take away whatever they could lay their hands on,' They were observed to leave the house with t ie things by a boy, who gave information to the Town Belt Banger, who arrested them. The police stated that the children’s parents were abandoned characters the mother of O’Donoghue being a convicted thief. The Bench ordered the children to be sent to the Industrial School for three years.
