RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq., R.M.) Civil Cases. Moneys v. Conelly—A charge of assault. The defendant is a woman whose husband and the complainant had a quarrel about some property. After abusing each other soundly she struck him on the face. This was confirmed by a Witness named M‘Donald. The defendant confessed to have struck the complainant on the face, and was sentenced to a line of twenty shillings, or four days’ imprisonment.
