WASTE LAND BOARD.

This Day. The Waste Laud Board met at noon today. Present:—The Chief Commissioner of Waste Lands, Messrs Eeid and Hughes. . Messrs Jaokson and Lig’is’ tender for lease, of.bush reserve, denote, was accepted, A license of the railway bush reserve, Clyde, from year to year, was granted to E. Westwood. A letter complaining that the holders of the Kunw Euu were working coal on their own account, was referred to the runholder for explanation. . ; Thomas Johnston’s application for a lease of the Akatore Bush was declined. : It was resolved that after holders of certificates of occupation have selected their allotments, the remainder to be offered in Dunedin after the sale in Jamestown has been reported. In answer to an enquiry, it was stated that -lands ■6f special value having been offered for sale by auction, and not sold after being advertised one mouth, are open for selection at Ll an acre., The land applied for by Messrs Kenyon and Haddock was ordered to be, sold as land of ■ special value. Upset price, 30s per acre. ... P. C, Neill’s application to purchase .80 acres as a homestead for John MThcrson, was granted. , - Several plans were approved. Two applications by Messrs Connell ard Moodie, for purchase of land, was declined.
