DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY.

The follpwing are the Resolutions passed at a congregational njeetiug of St. Andrew’ 8 Church, Dunedin, held iu the church on the 18th April last, and referred to by us in our issue of yesterday, as having been laid on the table of the Presbytery by Mr M'Naughton, moderator of St. Andrew’s Kirk Session :

Whereas at the last meeting of the Presbytery of Dunedin a decision in regard to this congregation was come to, which was read from the pndpit of the church by the officiating minister on Sabbath, the 10th instant.

The congregation having taken the matter into serious consideration, resolves to adopt the following resolution against tho said action of the Presbytery : Ist. That the free action of tho congregations, in accordance with the forms of procedure adojrted by the Supreme Court of the Church, is a fundamental principle of Presbyterian polity. 2nd, That the congregation were not before tho Presbytery in any proper way, and had made no to it qn the matter in regard to which the decjujioiji was given. 3rd. That [this congregation at thoir last

meeting did, in accordance with the synodical regulations thereanent, agree to find full pulpit supply for themselves, and therefore the Presbytery acted ulh'ct vires in interfering in a matter not regularly before them. _ 4th. That wc regret the apparently hostile attitude assumed by the Presbytery towards this congregation, preventing the exercise of our spiritual rights and privileges, and hindering our efforts towards consolidation and prosperity. sth. That on those grounds the decision of the Presbyteryis null and void, though in thin t crests of peace and public decorium, we abstain from taking any steps at present in opposition thereto, fith. That the Maderator be requested to lay these resolutions on the table of the Presbytery,
