MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor and W. H. Valpy, Esq., J.P.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Catherine Ainsley and Anne Sherry, having been repeatedly convicted of drunkenness, were each fined L 5 or 14 days* imprisonment ; Donald Monroe was fined 10s or 24 hours. offences against the bye-laws. Josh. Hughes, charged with driving a vehicle without proper name and address ; case adjourned. James Armstrong, for allowing a cow to wander, was fined ss. Ellen Borthwick, for allowing a chimney to take fire, 20s. John Latham, using his cart as a wood cart, not having a licsnse, dismissed. John Nayson, allowing water to drain from his premises, 10s. Win. Blackford, on a similar charge, case deferred for arrangement. A similar charge against Joseph Dodds was deferred for a week. Timothy Keats, removing rubbish from Maitland street at nine o’clock in the morning, was fined 20e. Thomas Condon, leaving a quantity of bricks in the streetway, dismissed.
