MAYOR'S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor and G. G. Russell, Esq., J. P.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. The following persons were sentenced to the penalties attached to their names for the offences specified : —James Crawford, drunk and using obscene language, L 5 or 14 days’ imprisonment; William Johnson and Charles Wilson, for a breach of the peace, one month's imprisonment each ; Thomas Stevens, for drunkenness, 10s or 24 hours’ imprisonment. CHARGE OP STEALING. James Christy was charged with stealing a chest of tea on the 29th inst. He was remanded for seven days. CHARGE OF RECEIVING STOLEN GOODS. Phillip Ashton was charged with receiving a chest of tea from Jas. Christy, knowing it to be stolen. Remanded for seven days. CHARGE OF VAGRANCY. John Flanagan, alias George Mahoney, alias George Mulvaney, aLs George Parker, was charged by Detective Farrell with having no visible or lawful means of support. He was remanded till to-morrow. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. Richard Mulryan, for driving a dray across a footpath in Stafford street, was fined 2s Gd and costs. J. C. Galloway, allowing impure water to] flow across the footpath in Stafford street, adjourned. George Mariner, neglecting to clean his premises, 5s and costs. Charles Billsman, for a like offence, fined ss. Alex. M'Naughton, and Frederick Nelson, on similar charges, os each.
