[from our own correspondent.] Wellington, Eeb. 10, 2.25 p.m. Auckland, Feb. 8. A rowing match took place to-day between Auckland and the Thames, which was won by Auckland by 2 minutes 46 seconds. The Governor and members of the Council visited the Admiral yesterday. There was a ball on board the flag ship last night. The Masons also gave a hall to the brethren of the Squadron. To-night the citizens give a ball. The last accounts say that the King Natives sympathise with To Kooti. Near Tauranga Colonel Fraser was attached by the Natives in ambush. They are supposed to be Friendlies. Private Whitely and two Natives were killed, and two wounded.
