This Day. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Hugh M‘Leilan, Elizabeth O’Keefe. Donald Downie, and Jane Downie were each fined 10s ; John Wilkes was fined 20s; Mary Turner, 30s ; Mary Ann Sutton, 40s ; and Annie Hansford L 5, or 14 days’ imprisonment. Civil Cases.

M. W. Hawkins v. C. Abbott, J. Mackenzia, and Walter Bell.—This was & claim for Ll9 4s 9d, for services rendered. Mr Wilson appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Harris for the defendant Abbot, who paid the sum of L2 into Court, and pleaded not indebted as to the balance. The other defendants were not indebted. The plaintiff had been engaged in arranging some partnershipjdisputes in which the defendants were concerned. The defence was the plaintiff had never been so engaged, by Abbott personally. Judgment was given for the sum of 15 and costs.
