RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day, (Before James Fulton, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Ann Smith, for this offence, was fined 10s ; Catherine Wilkinson was sent to gaol for two months for being an habitual drunkard. MINOR OFFENCES. W. H. Haydon for neglecting to keep a lamp burning over the principal door of his licensed house, was fined 2s fid and costs. William Smith, for allowing a waggon to obstruct the highway, was fined 2s fid and costs. Thomas Josling, for neglecting to sweep a chimney clean, was fined 5s and costs. William Hanney, for improperly plying for hire, was fined 4s and costs. William Blackwood, William Donald, James Ande>son, David Mitchell, John Goddard, and John Walls, were charged with neglecting to carry proper weights and scales in their bread carts ; as it was a first offence, they were discharged with a caution.
