SUPREME COURT.
IN BANKRUPTCY. (Before His Honor Mr Justice Ward.) FETITIONS FOR ADJUDICATION. In the following cases the bankrupts were adjudged bankrupts, and the first meeting of creditors fixed for the 7th prox. : —James Wilson and Thomas Fahey. The application of Charles Cowan Rose was adjourned for a week. LAST EXAMINATIONS. The 7th prox. was fixed for the last examination of Andrew Baker and John Nightingale. FINAL EXAMINATION. There being no opposition in the following case, the usual order of discharge was granted : —Alfred Palmer. The application of George Myers was adjourned for a week. Mr Harris mentioned the case of James W. Cotton. He said that he understood that the insolvent had fi led a declaration of insolvency one day last week. He was the licensee of a public-house in Dunedin, and being absent from his house, the license was liable to be forfeited. He wished to know if the license could not bo handed over to the provisional trustee. After some discussion, The Judge said that it could only be done by consent of the bankrupt. The Court then adjourned.
