A. house has already been taken at Hitchin, and will be ready for occupation next October. The examination for matriculation, if such a term is to be applied, is likely to prove a severe obstacle to some cand dates, unless their store of general knowledge far exceeds that upon which young men entering at Oxford or Cambridge are able to draw.— Pall Mall Gazette.
