VOLUNTEER'S COLUMN.

The firing for the General Government District Prizes by the Bruce Volunteers took place on the Bth inst. with the following results : 303 400 500 Yards. Yards. Yards. Tot.

The East Taieri Corps fired for the same purpose on the 10th inst., and the annexed are the final scores made by them.

The Evening Star prize Cup, of the value of 10 guineas (or money in lieu), was shot for this morning at 5 a.m. at the Kaikorai butts—2oo,

300, and 400 yards, Wimbledon targets/and scoring (1863). The scoring up to the present it* as under. There are five prizes besides the Cup—namely, a second of £5; third, £4; fourth, £3 ; fifth, £2 ; and sixth, £1 :
