Tlie shooting for the Daily Times cup, value 15 guineas, commenced at 5 a.m., and up to the present time the scoring is as under, as nearly as can at present be ascertained. Ranges 300, 400 and 500 yards, five rounds at each distance ; 300 yards standing, 400 yards kneeling, 500 yards any position, Wimbledon targets and scoring, 1863. The last squad were to fire at 2 p.m. to-day. There are five other prizes besides the cup. 300. 400. 500. Sergeant Devore, Artillery 9 17 18 44 Gunner Pell do. 12 16 13 41 Private W. F. Stevens, Naval Brigade ... ... 13 15 12 40 Gunner-Orbell, Artillery... ... 39 ~ Muir do 3S Corporal J. E. Stevens, No. 1, City Guards ... ... 38 We are unable to give more than the totals of the last three scores, and it will be observed that Sergeant Devore, who will probably be the winner, made his best shooting at the longer ranges.
