MORE BACON AND HAM

PORK BAN STILL ON

Cabinet approval of an increase in the present bacon and ham quotas of all retail shops as from November 1 was announced today by the Minister of Supply (Mr. Sullivan). The Minister said it had been necessary, however, to extend the prohibition of the sale of pork on the civilian market until December 15. A further statement on that matter would be made at an early date.

A conference representative of clothing manufacturers throughout New Zealand is to be held in Rotorua next week, opening on Monday. ' The Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr. Sullivan) is to leave Wellington tomorrow to be present at the conference.
