VERY POOR OUTLOOK
ITALIAN GRAIN CROP
ROME, July 25. The Allied Military Government bluntly warned the Italians that they would only receive Allied aid in the coming winter if they co-operated to the fullest extent by turning in grain instead of hoarding it. An Allied spokesman asserted that Italy's crop outlook this year was the worst since 1913 as a result of war damage, lack of fertilisers, and drought. Between 25,000,000 and 30,000,000 quintals of wheat would have to be imported to feed the people.
