TRANSPORT MEETING

A notice of question by Mr. C. M. Bowden (National, Wellington West) in the House of Representatives today asked the Minister of Labour whether the Government approved the practice adopted by the Wellington Road Transport and Motor and Horse Drivers' and their Assistants' Industrial Union of Workers of calling a special general compulsory stop-work meeting in working hours, which would result in transport in the city being completely upset. Mr. Bowden said the only drivers exempted from the notice were Free Ambulance drivers on duty.
