TOP FOR DOMINION
WELLINGTON HOSPITAL NURSE
For the first time in 12 years a nurse from Wellington Hospital has topped the list for the annual State examinations. The successful candidate was
Nurse Phoebe Downes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Small, of Shannon.
Nurse Downes took up nursing six months after her husband, Bombardier G. Downes, was reported^, missing in Greece.
Fellow nurses and the tutor staff at Wellington Hospital are justifiably proud of the distinction brought to the hospital as a training centre by Nurse Downes's success.'
