FOUND EMPTY
P.A. HASTINGS, This Day. The> money belt which was stolen from the Chinese whare on . July 13 and thrown into the Tukituki River has been found washed up on the beach. It was supposed to have contained at least £100 in £10 notes, which the thieves had overlooked, but when found the pockets of the belt were burst open, perhaps by the action of the sea, and there was no money.
