FOURTH LANDING

CAMPAIGN FOR BORNEO

LONDON, July 22

Australian forces have made a new landing in Borneo. This, the. fourth big amphibious operation in Borneo, >vas carried out at Tenipadeong, 14 miles north-west of Balik Papan r and, like the previous landings, was made without opposition.

The vessels conveying the troops sailed several miles into the deepest reaches of the bay. The troops made their way inland, patrols pushing south-west through the jungle and reaching a village, strengthening their grip on the position in that part of orneo.
