AUSTRALIAN BUDGET
CANBERRA, September 4. The Commonwealth 1944-45 Budget will be brought down this week. It is expected to provide no surprises, though a few small income tax concessions may be made to men with large families, while companies may also receive assistance in the matter of wartime deterioration of plant/After the Budget sitting, Parliament will adjourn till towards the end of the year when it is hoped the Duke of Gloucester will have arrived as Governor-General.
