with Suriblaze (Rowe)" iri 42sec. It was a really good effort wider the conditions. Subdued (A. G.. Waddell) and Sival (S. Waddell) had a'similar task and finished together, after taking 41 l-ssec. Classfomv (J. Bowness) worked well over a round, but was not after time. ■ She was round to the three in 1.25-and home smoothly in 44 2-ssec. She. worked attractively, and she | should be in-great order for immediate engagements. --' " Dileas (S. Waddell) and Dunbay (A. G. Waddell) covered seven in 1.47 3-5, and Intense (A. S. Ewan) sprinted six in 1.29 2-5. Intense looks better than ever she did. Broiefield and Alethea were worked on an inside track. Both look well. Rink (S. Waddell) was kept under a good hold over a mile which he covered in 2.14. He was travelling nicely at 15sec to the furlong over the last three. Greenfeast (C. A. Bowry) and Lady Midian (H. Pearce) were home in 45 3-ssec, to complete five in 1.16 1-5 Kinsman (S. Waddell), looking better after his race at Hawera, sprinted four with Stoneybroke (M. Andrews), the last three in 44sec. The Champ and Anglo-Irish went once round covering the last three in 45'2-ssec. Duplicity (Bowness); the Debutant Stakes candidate from L. Knapp's stable, worked keenly over three in 44 4-ssec. She is a shapely filly. Observatory (Bowness) • worked once round, speeded up for the last three. Alchemy (W. Rout) and Theblateral (Broughton) worked over seven. The pa,ce was never on, and they were home in 47sec, to complete hr 1.50. Nevertheless it was one of the best trials of the morning.
