WIDOWS PENSIONS
Sir, —I am sorry that "Democracy" had to write regarding the difference between war and civil widows' pensions. There was a day when there were no pensions at all, and, if any, they were not what they are today. I am afraid we are not grateful enough for our supply in this world, and to those who are responsible.—l am, etc., SINCERITY.
