GERMANS IN GREECE

OCCUPATION EXTENDED

Rec. 11.10 a.rn

RUGBY, Sept. 2.

The Germans have extended their military occupation of Greece to the Epirus, with Preyeza as the main base, according to information reaching Greek circles in London. German forces have also appeared at Missolonghi.

The German director of road construction, Dr. Muller, has been made Governor of Salonika, while the Greek Governor, Mr Simonides, is reduced to the duties of councillor. On the way to the Epirus, German troops set fire to forests to deprive the guerrillas of cover.—B.O.W.
