BRITISH PREPARATIONS
(By Telegraph— Press Association—Co|).vi-tulti.) Rec 12.45 p.m. v LONDON, Sept. 2. Large formations of air-borne troops and many ships are being massed in southern England for invasion of Europe, says the German news agency. "The British have made preparations on a considerable scale," it declares, "but Germany has countered these moves by appropriate regrouping of her forces and strengthening of the garrisons of her Atlantic walls."
The German news agency also refers to the danger of Allied attacks against southern France and Greece and in the Adriatic. Berlin said yesterday that strong German reserves had been withdrawn from Russia to defend western and southern Europe. The Paris radio political commentator declared today: "The moment is approaching when an Anglo-American invasion armada will cross the Channel and disembark armies on the French coast.
