HOUSING PROBLEM DEMANDS NEW APPROACH.
The Fraser Government has absolutely failed to solve the housing problem. It has spent £23,000,000 in building 15,000 houses —and the shortage is as great as ever. The Fraser Government is hampered by antiquated ideas, lack of broad planning, worship^ of State ownership and control. The National Party's housing plan is based on one idea —to provide a home for every family. It plans for: — ■ .New housing centres on outskirts of cities and towns—
■ Restoration of private home building — 25,000 extra men building houses — ■ Houses to own or to rent —
Security of tenure for State tenants ■with the right to purchase their homes if desired —
90 per cent, of cost provided—loo per cent, for servicemen. The National Party's housing plan will be" the basis of the post-war "New Order" for' New Zealand. Help to make New Zealand a real "Land of Opportunity"—a country of Happy
