WESTERN SAMOA
ANNIVERSARY OF LAST WAR Rec. 12.20 p.m. APIA, Sept. 1. A ceremony commemorating the 29th anniversary of the landing of New Zealand troops in Western Samoa was held at the Administration buildings on Monday, before a large gathering. Speeches were delivered by his Excellency the Administrator. The Hon. Amando -Stowers has been elected a member of the Samoan Legislative Council, and also the Hon. Lavea, representing the Faipule.
