STRONG FORTIFICATIONS

The Bulgarian frontier has been closed, says Algiers radio. The Bulgarian Government has been continuously 'in session during the past few days. The Germans have taken over the Bulgarian Black Sea ports of Burgas and Varna, and strong fortifications are being built along the whole of the Bulgarian coast, and in some areas anti-aircraft defences extending seven miles inland have been established in the Varna area. Several new airfields have also been constructed.
