HELIGOLAND RAID
DOCKS AND TOWN BOMBED
LONDON, May 22
In yesterday's daylight attack on Heligoland British bombers swept low over the island through a continuous hail of fire. Direct hits were registered on the docks, the centre of the town, and on a battery of four guns. One of our bombers is missing.
MARINE ENGINES
BRITISH WORKERS REGISTER
(Rec. 9 a.m.) RUGBY, May 21. Men with previous experience of marine engine building or repairing or heavy engineering work of a similar kind are required to register under the Registration of Employment Order, 1941.
The' Ministry of Labour and National Service announced that the men to register were those aged 20 or over who were capable of the work and had worked twelve months or more since January, 1929, on marine engine building or repairing.—B.O.W.
