BERLIN'S REQUEST
CLOSING OF EMBASSIES IN
PARIS
(Rec. noon.) LONDON, May 22. It is announced officially in Berlin that all nations have been asked to close their Embassies and Legations in Paris. This measure, it is stated, is not directed at any particular country, but is designed to concentrate all diplomatic missions at Vichy, which is the present capital of France. There is no objection to any nation which has diplomatic relations with Germany maintaining its, Consulates in Paris.
The German news agency stated that the Reich Finance Minister, Count yon Krosigk, has arrived in Paris for talks with the German authorities.—U.P.A.
