NEW NOVITIATE
"LEPER" NURSING SISTERS
Hutt Valley women will take a special interest in the opening of the new Novitiate for the "Leper" Nursing Sisters at. Heretaunga. The increasing number of young women who wish to devote their lives to missionary work in the Pacific Islands has made it necessary for the Sisters to provide greater accommodation for their training, and the Sisters have been fortunate in securing the former Williams estate at Heretaunga, a roomy mansion set in attractive surroundings. The house in Aurora Terrace will be retained as a rest home and house of studies.
The Sisters have no .'egular source of income, and the public ordinarily have little means of coming in contact with them, so there will be a large crowd of interested supporters at the opening tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. to which everyone is cordially invited. The normal train service fits in conveniently with the function, at which afternoon tea will be provided.
