TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY

To celebrate the coming-of-age of their youngest daughter, Joan, Mr. and Mrs. J. Heyworth, of Wellington, had a party for their friends recently at the Gwenethe Walshe Studio. The guest of honour's father announced her engagement to Mr. B. Morton. Miss Heyworth wore a gown of cyclamen taffeta, and Mrs. Heyworth was in creme satin. Short speeches were given by Mr. Heyworth and Mr. R. Saltiel, and a suitable reply was made by the guest of honour. Mrs. Heyworth as hostess was assisted by her two daughters, Mrs. J. Cannon and Mrs. G. Gibbs.

A private dance was organised recently under the leadership of Mr. and Mrs. H. Willet for the benefit of the lepers at Makogai, and the sum oi £8 Is 3d was raised.
