PETROL FOR LABOUR DAY

Sir,—The Controller of Oil Fuel has more' than once permitted petrol coupons to be used a few days early. If November coupons could be used on and after Friday, October 25, Labour Day would find thousands thinking more kindly of the Labour Governs ment. I want to take my children to be seen by their grandparents in the country that weekend, and cannot do it on October's ration. Nor did I pay annual licence fees for the privilege of buying half a dozen rail tickets and four taxi trips in four days—l am, etc., QUIVERFULL.
