WEDDING

BUSH—ADAMS.

A wedding took place recently at St. Anne's Church, Northland, when Frances Joan, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Adams, Northland, was married to Lawrence Bedford, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Rush, Palmerston North. The Rev. Ashley Jones performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a trained classical gown of cream poult satin, her cream embroidered veil, lent by Mrs. John Stevens (Martinborough), being held in place with a topknot of orange blossom. Cream hyacinths, carnations, freesias, and clethra composed her shower bouquet.

The bridesmaids, Miss M. Rush and Miss N. Adams, wore full-skirted frocks of l cream georgette. Their topknots and bouquets were of lavender, freesias, and violets. Mr. L. Douglas was the best man and Mr. E. Stone the groomsman.

I At a reception held at Oddfellows' Hall, Clyde Quay, Mrs. Adams, assisted by Mrs. Rush, received many guests, among them being Mrs. M. Hail wood, grandmother of the bride. The cream-coloured wedding cake was made by Mr. John Stevens, Martinborough. When Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Rush left for the north the bride wore a teal blue coat and frock with burgundy accessories.
