The Dunedin Jockey Club's Spring Meeting concluded in fine weather and attracted a large attendance, greatly augmented by he soldiers in camp on the course. The racing wis marked by the defeat of three hot favourites in Doria, Silver Lily, and Hearth. The totalisator handled £19,314 10s for the day, and £43,244 for the meeting. There was only one day at the Spring Meeting last year. Compared with the Thursday of .the 1939 Meeting, today's total represented an increase ot £8358.
