ROTOITI TIMBER COMPANY.
A net profit of £2068 is reported by the Rotoiti Timber Co., Ltd., Wellington/ for the year ended June 30. This compares with £6141 in the previous year. The directors propose a final dividend of £3 4s per cent, on preference shares, which receive the fixed rate of £6 8s per cent, per annum, and a further 2-per cent, on ordinary shares, making 4 per cent., unchanged, for the year. The directors report a decline of £2040 in sales and a considerable rise in the cost of production. Prices for sawn timber are under the control of the Price Tribunal unfortunately, it is stated, the .prices fixed have not been sufficient to g've a reasonable return.
