FIGHT FOR RIGHT

DUTY OF CHRISTIANS

The weekly intercessory service, held in the Town Hall today, was well attended by citizens who united in prayers and supplications on behalf of the Empire. The first session was presided over by Mr. V. C. Stafford, of the Church of Christ, and the second by Mr. H. S. Hart, a number of ministers and laymen assisting by taking part in the prayers and Scripture readings.

Speaking briefly on "The Duty of Being Strong," Mr. Hart said that at the present time the forces of Christendom and anti-Christendom were arrayed against each other in Europe as they had not been for centuries, and what we believed to be evil the Germans looked upon as right. There were strong men on both sides, but the responsibility of those who were strong in their prosecution of evil was something appalling. It was the duty of those who were on the side of Christendom to be strong in faith and strong in prayer, and in God's good time right would triumph over evil.
