LONDON, October 5. The Japan-Axis agreement had but a short-lived effect on the stock and share markets.
A notable feature has been the increased interest displayed in leading equities. Gilt-edged securities were slightly easier in price, but ordinary shares of prominent industrials experienced an increased demand.
