A FRIENDLY CUP WAGER
After a friendly argument about the respective chances of their horses in the Melbourne Cup, Mr. A- G. Newman, the owner of Prince Sion, aiid £ Mr; JD, Prinice, the owner of-Windlelon, made a wager .about the ■ result. .7 The} bet depended on' which horse was in front of the other at the finish, and Mr. Newman collected when Prince Sion ran in fifteenth, to complete the course.
