BAND PROGRAMME
Provided the southerly breeze continues, the southern band shell will be used for the first time this evening for the band programme by the Port Nicholson Silver Band. The programme will be as follows:—
Fanfare, trumpeters; anthem, "God Defend New Zealand"; march, "Knight of the Road" (Rimmer); intermezzo, "Babylon" (Carvan); cornet solo, "Titania" (Rimmer); selection, 'Student Prince" (Romberg); valse, "Forget-Me-Not" (Greenwood); popular numbers; reverie, "Bells of St. Mary" (Adams); march; "8.8. and C.F." (Ord Hume); march, "New Zealand Centennial" (A. H. Pettitt); entr'acte, "Sizelbeta" (V. Blon); selection, "Old Favourites" (arr. Ord Hume); novelty. "Lazy Pete" (Bergner); cornet duet, "The Marionettes," musicians H. F. Vincent and W. Kay (Windsor); valse, "Cinderella Sweetheart" (Strauss); march, "Let's All Go to Ally Pally" (Dunn); National Anthem.
The conductor will be Mr. J. J. Drew.
