JOHN O' LONDON'S CLUB
Miss Dorothy Seymour was the speaker at the November meeting of the John o' London's Club. Only recently returned from Australia, where she was doing -radio work for some of Sydney's largest broadcasting stations, Miss Seymour took as her subject, "Writing for the Radio," and with numerous practical examples; and illustrations explained the technique of this modern phase of literature. The condensation of thought, the lucidity of expression, and the originality and brightness of treatment necessary to write successful' radio plays and sketches were points stressed in an illuminating talk. During the evening preliminary plans were discussed for the issuing' of a Centennial brochure reviewing the history of the club and its contribution towards fostering and encouraging amateur New Zealarid writers.
