The Hawke's Bay District Committee considered on Saturday an appeal, under Rule 357 of the Rules of Racing, by the jockey E: Deslandes against the decision of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club in disqualifying^ him for twelve months under Rule 205 k. -' After considering the appeal and taking into account the various circumstances which led to the disqualification and also Deslandes's clean record over ai period of twenty years, the penalty-was reduced from twelve month? to six months.
